Terms of Use

Last updated: August 26, 2026

Please note: These Terms are a general template provided for convenience and are not legal advice. They should be reviewed and adapted by qualified legal counsel before you rely on them.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and AI Canadian Solutions (“AICS”, “we”, “us”), based in Ontario, Canada, governing your use of the EZ Web Streams website and application (“the Service”). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Service — including by creating an account — you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

2. Description of the Service

EZ Web Streams is a browser-based screen and webcam recorder, live streaming tool and video editor. Basic recording and editing run on your device. The Service also hosts live sessions with guests, who join from a link and appear in the host’s session over a direct peer-to-peer connection.

Optional features — including cloud storage of recordings and projects, share links, AI clean-up and assistance, live captions, live guest cameras, and publishing to YouTube — send data off your device when you choose to use them, as described in our Privacy Policy. We also offer an optional desktop render agent, a separate program you install on your own computer to export faster; it runs locally on your machine and is licensed to you as part of the Service. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Free sessions are limited to one hour of continuous live session time, after which the session ends automatically and a short cooldown applies before a new one can start. Paid plans remove that limit. Storage add-ons may be purchased separately.

2a. Live sessions, guests & recording

If you host a session, you are the one responsible for the people in it. That means you must have any consent required by law before recording participants, their voices, their screens or their surroundings, and you must comply with the recording and privacy laws that apply where you and your participants are — in some places every party must consent.

The Service gives guests a red REC indicator, an audible cue and a one-time dialog when recording starts, and nothing is recorded until you press Record. Those notices help, but they do not discharge your legal obligations, and you must not disable, obscure or misrepresent them.

Guests supply a display name and, optionally, a title and email. If you record, that name and title can appear in the recording. If you keep or share a recording containing other people, you are responsible for handling it lawfully, including honouring any request a participant makes about their own footage.

2b. Scheduling & invitations

You can schedule a session and have us email an invitation, with a calendar attachment, to people you name. When you do, you are asking us to send email to third parties on your instruction, and you confirm that each person you name knows you and is expecting to hear from you. That tick box is not a formality: it is the basis on which we send.

Invitations are for coordinating a specific session with people you know. You must not use them to send marketing, newsletters, bulk mail, or any message to people who have not asked to hear from you, and you must not enter addresses you are not entitled to use. The feature is capped at a small number of recipients per invitation for this reason. We may suspend the ability to send invitations, or an account, where we believe this clause is being ignored.

Invitations are sent from our address on your behalf and carry your display name, the session title you chose, the time and a join link. A copy is sent to your own account email. You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you put into an invitation, including the session title, which is shown to your guests.

A join link opens the room it was created for. It stops working once that session has ended or once its scheduled time is well past — a session that is actually running is never cut off. Links are not secret: anyone holding one can join up to the guest limit, so treat a join link like a key and send a fresh one if you need to exclude somebody.

2c. Ideate sessions

Ideate captures a text transcript of a conversation and no video, screen or audio file. The transcript is produced by your browser and stays in your browser unless you explicitly save it to your account. It is not a recording, but it is still a record of what people said: the same consent obligations in section 2a apply, and in many places capturing what someone says is treated no differently from recording them. Tell people it is running.

Transcription quality depends on each participant’s own browser and is best-effort. Some browsers contribute nothing at all. Transcripts may be inaccurate, incomplete, or attribute words to the wrong person, and must not be relied on as a verbatim or legal record.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information (such as a valid email address) and to keep your account secure. Because we use email sign-in links, anyone with access to your email inbox may be able to access your account — keep your inbox secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

You are solely responsible for obtaining any consent required to record other people and for how you use recordings you create.

5. Your content

You own your recordings, imported media and projects (“Your Content”). We do not claim ownership of it. To operate the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit and display Your Content solely to provide the features you use — for example, storing files in cloud storage, generating share links you create, sending audio to transcription when you use AI clean-up, and uploading a video to YouTube when you choose to publish. This license exists only to run the Service for you and ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to reasonable backup and legal-retention periods. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important recordings.

6. Pro subscriptions & billing

Pro plans are optional paid subscriptions billed through Stripe on a recurring basis (for example monthly or annually) at the price shown at checkout, plus applicable taxes. By subscribing you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel.

Refunds & Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting us. When you cancel, your Pro plan stays active until the end of your current billing period, after which it will not renew and you won’t be charged again. You keep access to everything you’ve created.

Monthly plans are billed in advance and are non-refundable for the current billing period — but because EZ Web Streams offers a free plan with no time limit, you can evaluate the product fully before subscribing.

Annual plans include a 14-day money-back guarantee: if you’re not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of your initial annual purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, annual plans are non-refundable, though you may cancel at any time to prevent future renewals.

We’re also happy to review refunds at our discretion for duplicate charges, billing errors, or a technical problem that prevented you from using Pro — email ezwebstreams@aicanadiansolutions.ca within 14 days of the charge.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Taxes, where applicable, are non-refundable.

7. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties including Stripe (payments), OpenAI (AI transcription and assistance), and Google / YouTube (video publishing). Your use of those features is also subject to the respective provider’s terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Service provided “AS IS”

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recordings, uploads or exports will always succeed or be preserved. You use the Service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AICS and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, recordings, profits or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or CAD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AICS from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party — including any claim that you recorded someone without required consent.

11. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where necessary to protect the Service or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content licenses granted, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes may be communicated through the Service. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
