Delete your account & data
Last updated: July 13, 2026
EZ Web Streams is operated by AI Canadian Solutions (Ontario, Canada). This page explains exactly how to have your account and data erased, what gets deleted, and the few things we are required to keep.
1. How to request deletion
You can also delete individual recordings, media and projects yourself at any time from inside the app — you do not need us for that. Full account deletion is the option below.
2. What gets deleted
On a verified request we permanently remove:
- Your account record — email address, name, any country/city you entered, stored password hash and sign-in/verification tokens.
- Your cloud files — every recording, imported image/audio/video and rendered export stored in your private folder in Amazon S3 (Canada, ca-central-1).
- Your projects — saved edits, timelines and project metadata.
- Your share links — any share pages you created stop working and their files are removed.
- Guest-session data tied to your rooms — guest names/emails you collected and any guest tracks recorded into your sessions, plus the room/peer records.
- Saved ideations — every Ideate transcript you chose to keep in your account, including its text and the speaker names in it. (Ones you left in your browser were never ours to delete; clear your browser data for this site to remove those.)
- Scheduled sessions — the sessions you scheduled, the guest names and email addresses you entered when inviting people, the notes and times, and the record of what happened afterwards (who joined, how long it ran, which recording came out of it).
- Render jobs and queue records associated with your account.
- Trial and plan status, and any YouTube-publishing log entries. (Your Google/YouTube authorisation is yours to revoke in your Google account settings — we cannot do that for you.)
- Support artefacts you sent us — bug reports and contact-form messages sent from your address, on request.
Deletion is carried out against a fixed inventory of every place your data can live, and that inventory refuses to run if it does not recognise part of our own database — so a feature added after this page was written cannot quietly leave something behind.
Anything EZ Web Streams stored in your browser (recordings you never uploaded, local caches, settings in localStorage) is on your own device — clear your browser data for this site to remove it. We never had a copy.
3. What we keep, and why
| Data | Reason | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Billing and payment records (invoices, subscription and transaction history held by Stripe) | Canadian tax and accounting law requires businesses to keep records of transactions. We never held your card number — Stripe does — but the record that a payment happened must survive account deletion. | As required by law (generally up to 7 years) |
| Standard web-server logs (IP address, timestamp, request path) | Security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. Not used to profile you and not linked back to your account once it is gone. | Rotated out automatically, typically within 90 days |
| Encrypted backup snapshots | Disaster recovery. Deleted records may briefly persist inside an existing snapshot. | Purged on the normal rotation, within 30 days |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not keep a usable copy of your media after deletion.
4. Subscriptions
If you have an active Pro subscription, tell us in the same email and we will cancel it as part of the deletion, or you can cancel it yourself from the billing portal first. Deleting your account does not, by itself, refund a period you have already paid for.
5. Timeline
- Acknowledgement: within a few days of your email.
- Deletion: completed within 30 days of a verified request; in practice usually within 7 days.
- Backups: residual copies age out within 30 days of deletion.
