Editing in a little preview box the size of a playing card is how mistakes slip through. In the EZ Web Streams editor you can blow the preview up to fullscreen with a real transport bar and a draggable scrub bar — and, if you have two monitors, push a live preview onto the second one that mirrors your edit in real time. Why fullscreen preview matters
You judge pacing, framing, caption placement, and whether a zoom lands by watching the video, not by squinting at a thumbnail. A caption that looks fine at 300 pixels wide can crowd the edge at full size. A punch-in that felt smooth can look jumpy when it's big. Previewing at the size people will actually watch is the whole point — and doing it without leaving the editor means you don't export, check, come back, and re-export five times.
Step 1 — Open the fullscreen preview
Open your recording in the editor. Above the preview you'll see a ⛶ Fullscreen button. Click it and the preview fills your whole screen — black surround, your video centered, nothing else competing for attention. Press Esc any time to drop back to the editor.
Step 2 — Use the transport bar
A transport bar sits along the bottom, the same one you'd expect from any video player:
- Go to start — jump the playhead back to 0:00.
- Play / pause — or just tap the spacebar.
- Mute — kill the audio while you eyeball the visuals.
While it plays, the controls auto-hide after a moment so nothing sits on top of your video. Move the mouse and they slide back in. It behaves like YouTube or a desktop player, because that's the muscle memory you already have.
Step 3 — Scrub anywhere with the drag bar
Under the video is a draggable scrub bar. Grab the handle and drag to jump to any point — the frame updates as you move, so you can find the exact moment you're checking. Want to nudge frame by frame? Use the arrow keys to step forward and back a hair at a time. It's how you land on the precise spot a caption should appear or a cut should fall, without fighting a tiny timeline.
Step 4 — Read the live export info
The fullscreen preview also shows what you're about to ship: output resolution · aspect ratio · approximate file size, with an Export button right there. The best part is that it's live — reframe from 16:9 to 9:16 for Reels, trim a chunk off the end, and the resolution, aspect, and estimated size update on the spot. You always know the dimensions and rough weight of the file before you commit, and you can export straight from the fullscreen view when it looks right.
Step 5 — Send a live preview to your second monitor
This is the one that changes how you work. Click ⧉ Second screen. EZ Web Streams asks the browser's Window Management API where your displays are and opens a fullscreen preview on your other monitor. Now your timeline, tools, and cursor live on your main screen, and the finished picture plays back full-size on the second one — mirrored in real time. Scrub on the left, watch on the right. Toggle a caption style, drop in a background, adjust a zoom — the second screen updates live as you edit.

Step 6 — On Firefox or Safari, drag the fallback window
The Window Management API is a Chrome and Edge feature today. On Firefox and Safari, EZ Web Streams falls back gracefully: it opens the live preview as a normal popup window, and you drag it onto your second monitor and maximize it. Same real-time mirror, one extra drag. You're never locked out of the feature because of your browser — you just place the window by hand.
How it compares
Second-monitor playback and a fullscreen "program" view are classic desktop features. Premiere Pro can send full-quality playback to a second display, and OBS has a fullscreen "projector" you can throw on another monitor — but both are installs: download, license or subscribe, learn the app, keep it updated.
